What’s a better way to learn about chemistry than from your dear old Uncle Davy? The text book, First Lessons in Chemistry, was written by Uncle Davy in 1839 and was geared toward teaching children about chemistry. Who is Uncle Davy? I have no idea but I imagine he would be the fun uncle who would let you blow up stuff or shoot tin cans with a BB gun.
